Bellagio & Varenna – the pearls of Lake Como

Hey guys! Back as I promised! Our last trip was in Milan and on DAY 2 we wanted to see the beauty of Lake Como. There are so many wonderful small villages by the lake, but the most picturesque and most popular is by far Bellagio. This is also why George Clooney, Sting, Woody Allen, Donatella Versace, Madonna, Sylvester Stallone and Ronaldinho own their villas in this tranquil paradise.

Lake Como is a lake of glacial origin located in the region of Lombardia. It’s the third largest lake in Italy and also one of the deepest lakes in Europe at over 400 meters deep. It’s shaped as an upside-down “Y” where the two arms are surrounded by the pre-Alps. Already a popular destination for aristocrats since Roman times, in the last twenty years it has become a very popular tourist destination.

Milan – more than a fashion capital

Hello travelers! Today I want to tell you about my very last trip that husband and I had in Milan, Italy’s fashion capital. But please don’t let its reputation for style distract you because underneath it all, Milan can be more than this! Although I have to be honest and tell you that we were quite reserved at the beginning and did not expect much when we decided to visit this city, but in the end, it really surprised us in a pleasant way!

When we started traveling on our own, we also started chasing the best deals, meaning also the cheapest ones, of course. For this trip we booked our Ryanair flight, from Bucharest to Milan, with only 5 Euros. I am not kidding. Only 5 Euros, it’s true. And for the return flight, we booked Wizzair with 10 Euros. So this means no more and no less than 15 Euros each. AWEEESOME!

Sperlonga – simply magical

Hello hello! I’m back to tell  you about our DAY 3 which was a day-trip from Rome to this magical town named Sperlonga. This was by far the most relaxing day but we still had some little adventures on this day too, no worries^^

So, let’s start properly. Why Sperlonga? I’ve heard about this little town from my good friend @ipiripinapa and fell in love with it immediately as her photos were absolutely gorgeous. I knew I had to see it for myself as soon as possible!

So this was a perfect occasion to visit this amazing town. Sperlonga is pretty close to Rome, 2 hours by train + bus, from Termini Central Station.
